Enjoy an educational and entertaining demonstration to highlight food styles that pair beautifully with the featured wines. They will share food and wine pairing tips, and the audience will sample creations at the Grand Tasting– a great way to learn more about the versatility of Alsace style whites!

Please join the Food and Wine Open House party and experience a taste of classic French Choucroute Alsacienne, prepared by French Chef Alain and expertly paired with Gewurztraminer and Pinot Noirs. Winemaker Toby Hill will be there to greet you, along with French native, Natacha, who will speak "Francais" as you immerse yourself in this wonderful Alsace Festival. Almost a year has passed since we opened our home and winery for our 1st annual Wine Club BBQ event. For this year’s special event, we’re excited to offer Muse Cru Members the first barrel tasting of our newest variety in the cellar, Tempranillo. In keeping with the Spanish theme, we’ll be featuring authentic open wood-fired paella prepared by well known San Francisco Bay Area Chef Gary Penir, paired with our Pinot Noirs. Relax, unwind and enjoy a glass of wine and Tapas while listening to Wine Country Jazz guitar artist, Charles Tresca.

On Saturday August 11th, the evening will begin with a barrel tasting reception in the winery at 3:30pm followed by dinner at 5:30pm.                        SOLD OUT

Our winery is located at 25690 Greenwood Rd between Philo and Elk at 1200 ft elevation in the Mendocino Ridge appellation overlooking the Anderson Valley.

Plentiful accommodations are conveniently located within 20 minutes of the winery in either direction. Recommendations include The Elk Cove Inn, The Griffin House, Greenwood Pier Inn,  The Harbor House, Sandpiper Inn, , on the Elk side of Greenwood Road or Highland Ranch, The Apple Farm or opt for camping cabins and campsites in the Redwood Forest at Hendy Woods State Park, on the Philo side of Greenwood Road. We're excited to announce the 2012 date for Taste of Mendocino - Monday June 11 at Terra in San Francisco, CA. There will be an exclusive Trade & Media tasting from 2-5 pm to bring a sampling of the area right to wine buyers and distributors, sommeliers, wine directors, travel planners, and media. The event aims to educate and inspire wine enthusiasts and visitors to come up to one of California’s most beautiful, and not so remote, destinations. Trade and media are also invited to attend the invited public hours of the event from 5-7p.m.

Mendocino County is known as the place where some of the pioneers of the organic food and wine movement hang their hats and park their trucks. Inspired by a love of the land and a commitment to environmental stewardship, it’s a place abundant in wine makers (including Frey Vineyards, the first family farm to be certified Biodynamic®), organic breweries (Ukiah Brewing Company), craft distillers (Germain-Robin), artisan producers (like Shamrock Artisan Goat Cheese and Oliveto del Vecchio), famous grassfed beef ranchers (Magruder Ranch’s biggest client is Chez Panisse) and many creative artists and entrepreneurs.

The Mendo vibe will be kicking at Terra. Vendors will include over 60 wineries, organic beer, artisan olive oil, preserves, cheese and grassfed beef and lamb producers as well as favorite dishes from local restaurants. A large contingency of local artists, including the popular Flynn Flying Circus and other diversions and attractions will be there to remind you that Mendocino County is an amazing destination only 1.5 hours from the Bay.

Hosted by the Mendocino Winegrape and Wine Commission in partnership with Visit Mendocino County, this unified event will encompass the promotion of regional producers and diversions as well as projects and educational elements that highlight the County's bounty.

For the past 14 years the Anderson Valley Pinot Noir Festival has highlighted the richness and diversity of Pinot Noirs from the appellation. This 15th annual event showcases Anderson Valley Pinot Noir, crafted by the state’s finest producers, and includes events that range from a technical conference, BBQ, grand tasting and winemaker dinners to Sunday winery open houses at select local wineries.
